Implemented by the Hijabi Mentorship Program (THMP) in partnership with
Swahilipot Hub Foundation, aligned with the
Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) model for inclusive youth ecosystem development.
Young people in Kwale County continue to face significant barriers to employment, mentorship, and meaningful participation in decision-making spaces. Since 2022, THMP has been implementing the Youth Hub Network as part of a broader ecosystem approach to youth empowerment — emphasizing ecosystem collaboration, youth voice, mentorship, employability, and collective action as key pathways toward sustainable youth development.

Key Achievements & Strategic Focus
Trained and mentored a total of 131 young people across Kwale County between 2022 and 2025 — spanning four cohorts and growing steadily from 15 mentees in the inaugural year to 41 in mid-2025.
Supported young people through mentorship and leadership development, career guidance and employability support, peer learning and networking opportunities, and community engagement and advocacy — building skills, confidence, and long-term opportunity pathways.
Strengthened collaborative youth ecosystems by connecting young people to mentors, opportunities, and community support systems — fostering peer learning, inter-organizational collaboration, and shared investment in youth development across Kwale County.
Promoted youth voice and meaningful participation in community and civic spaces, equipping young people to contribute actively to local decision-making, advocacy, and community transformation efforts.
Implemented in alignment with the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) model, contributing to a broader ecosystem of youth-serving organizations committed to inclusive, collaborative, and youth-led development in Kwale County.
Strategic Contribution
The Youth Hub Network contributes to building a stronger and more inclusive youth ecosystem in Kwale County where young people are equipped with the skills, confidence, networks, and support systems needed to actively participate in social and economic development.
