Recognizing the influential role of media in advancing gender equality, THMP has consistently leveraged partnerships with national outlets to amplify community voices and highlight the work of women and youth in Coastal Kenya. Our initiatives have been featured on leading news platforms, showcasing our advocacy on gender, peacebuilding, and youth leadership.
Key Highlights:
“Generation Equality Launch” (May 29, 2021) Recognizing the influential role media plays in driving women’s empowerment and gender equality, KTN News featured THMP’s Generation Equality launch in Kwale County. This landmark event mobilized young people, women’s groups, and local leaders to advance gender equality at the grassroots.
Generation Equality Campaign” (May 29, 2021) As part of our media engagement strategy, THMP partnered with K24 TV to spotlight our Generation Equality launch in Kwale County. The coverage reinforced the media’s critical role in championing gender advocacy and amplifying the voices of women and girls in underserved communities.
Peace Walk in Ukunda, Msambweni Constituency” (December 2020) Our Peace and Conflict Resolution team led a peace walk in Ukunda ahead of the by-elections, promoting unity, non-violence, and civic responsibility. The event was captured by KTN News, highlighting youth-led contributions to peace and democracy in the Coast region.

“Youth Making a Difference” (Live Sabah Show) THMP was featured on Horizon TV’s “Active Jumatatu” segment, highlighting our work in youth mentorship, leadership, and SRHR education.
